Lofty Audio is a new independent audio company based in Austin, Texas. We make creative tools for musicians, producers, and anyone who likes messing around with sound.

The idea behind Lofty is pretty simple: make tools that make you want to make music.

We love classic effects, tape machines, synthesizers, old recording gear, and the weird and wonderful ways musicians have learned to use them. But we’re less interested in recreating old gear than we are in figuring out what we can learn from it—and where we can take those ideas next.

Our first instrument is LoopGround, and there’s a lot more we want to make. New plugins and instruments are already on the horizon, and eventually, we’d love to bring some of these ideas out of the computer and into hardware.
